I begin with #10 extra extra heavyweight canvas which I then apply two coats of primer. Depending on the coverage, a minimum of two coats of paint are then applied to the overall design. Some colors (eg: reds, blues, purples) require additional coats for their true color. Once the painting process is done I wait two weeks for the paint to cure before I apply the first of three coats of varnish. It is up to the customer as to whether or not a coat of paste wax is applied. It should be noted that the wax will make the piece slick if you are walking in socks, however it protects the piece even further from dirt. I tuck under my edge's and secure with gorilla glueTM, one of the strongest adhesive available.
Floorcloths are priced based on the square foot, size, design and shape.
